Beef Steers and Dairy Replacement Heifers
- Initial Possession
Saturday, February 14, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Producers Livestock Vale, OR
(Beef Only) Sunday February 15 , Jordan Valley, OR. Skinner Ranch 9 a.m. to noon.
MOU must be filled out through ShoWorks on-line by Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026. Link is under paperwork and important information.
To sell at the Malheur County Fair all points must be followed. Each animal weighing in on possession day must be at or under the maximum weight of 1000 lbs. 164 days feed period.

Dairy Replacement Heifers: Tuesday, July 28, 7 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Malheur County Fairgrounds. (No weight requirements, Must be 90 days pregnant).
Beef: Wednesday, July 29, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Malheur County Fairgrounds. (Minimum weight of 1150 lbs. 164 days feed period).

2 pictures (one with full animal with kid) due Thursday, April 16th. On-line registration will be done through ShoWorks. This includes the MOU. Link is under paperwork and important information.
To show/sell at the Malheur County Fair each animal must have 2 Pictures uploaded on ShoWorks. At least 1 picture with member present per hog registered. Pictures may be used at final weigh-in or fair to confirm hogs. Only 1 pig per picture.

Minimum weight of 225 lbs. Maximum weight of 310 lbs. 102 day feed period.

2 Market Goat Pictures due Thursday, April 30th. On-line registration will be done through ShoWorks. (Scrapie Tags are REQUIRED prior to Weigh-in) This includes the MOU. Link is under paperwork and important information.
To show/sell at the Malheur County Fair each animal must have 2 Pictures uploaded on ShoWorks (full animal with kid and scrapie tag). At least 1 picture with member present per goat registered. Pictures may be used at final weigh-in or fair to confirm goats. Only 1 goat per picture.

Minimum weight of 65 lbs. Maximum weight of 120 lbs. 88 days feed period.

1 Rabbit and/or Chicken Pen Picture due Thursday, June 25th. On-line registration will be done through ShoWorks. This includes the MOU. Link is under paperwork and important information.
To show/sell at the Malheur County Fair each animal pen must have 1 Picture per pen uploaded to ShoWorks with member in the picture. Each pen must contain 3-4 animals and animals must be present in the pen. Pictures may be used at final weigh-in or fair to confirm pen. Only 1 pen per picture.

Fryer Rabbits: 3.5 - 5 lbs. under 69 days
Roaster Rabbits: 5 - 7.5 lbs. under 90 days
Fryer Chickens: 4 - 6 lbs. under 8 weeks
Roaster Chickens: over 6 lbs. 8 - 16 weeks (max pen weight 27 lbs. / 3 animals)

Minimum weight on a tom is 16 lbs. with a maximum weight of 27 lbs. Minimum weight on a hen is 12 lbs. with a maximum weight of 18 lbs. Turkeys will be 15 to 20 weeks of age with a 103 day feed period.
